"Future Natures" explores the intersections of nature, the body, and technology. The installation is composed of three "islands." This image depicts the "urban nature" island composed of an Astroturf pad on which sits a lawn chair and table with a Martha Stewart magazine, cell phone, and illustrated botanical datebook. Gardening supplies are juxtaposed with a video monitor playing PBS nature programs. Future Natures was designed to accommodate a range of venues, and has been shown in various configurations this last year in Pittsburgh, Arizona, Washington state, and San Francisco.
